GottaGoFast 2000 memory expansion 8MB FastRam for Amiga 2000
The Amiga must be unscrewed for installation and the memory card must be inserted into a Zorro Slot II. It does not require any drivers and is an autoconfig card.
It is possible to switch off 4MB if older cards are not compatible or use the same areas. The card configures itself from 8MB => 4MB => 2MB => 1MB when switched on.
If required, a different firmware can be installed that only uses 6MB (e.g. bridge boards).
A Xilnx platform cable (or a Raspi with corresponding software and breakout board) is required to install the firmware.
If you would like to have the 6MB firmware installed by default, please specify this when ordering!
The card runs from Kickstart 1.3 and complements a TerribleFire card.
The card is provided with a 1U” gold coating for durability.
The memory extension is “open source hardware” and was developed by Matt Harlum / LIV2. Matt is waiving his license fees in favor of a donation to “Doctors Without Borders”.
