For this to work, the HDMI adapters also need new firmware!

Soldering skills and an adjustable soldering iron are required for installation. Caution: Do not solder at too high a temperature, as the add-on board is only 0.8 mm thick and excessive heat can very easily damage the AD converter. On the Amiga 500, the RGB-to-HDMI adapter must be raised slightly using a 48-pin adapter socket; otherwise, the add-on board will rest on top of the CIA, causing a short circuit.

Upon request, we can also install the add-on on RGBtoHDMI adapters purchased from us previously! To do so, please send us the adapter, including the SD card, properly packaged after purchase. Please note: We do *not* repair broken pins on the adapter!

Scope of delivery:

RGB-to-HDMI Audio Add-On Board

Optional:

Cable set consisting of a 3.5mm jack plug to 2*RCA connectors and 2*RCA plugs to a 3.5mm jack socket

Amiga 2000: New 3D-printed bezel with space for a 3.5mm jack

Amiga 500: Housing for HDMI Jack (3D-Printed) + 48-Pin Socket to Raise the Adapter (Important!!!)

Upgrade performed by us, including software update, cable set, and bezel (Amiga 2000) or HDMI enclosure + 48-pin socket to raise the adapter (Amiga 500)

Documentation:

The 8GB Retrobuddys Amiga 500 image with audio can be found here: https://www.retrobuddys.com/download/A500ImageAudio.zip

The 8GB Retrobuddys Amiga 2000 image with audio is available here: https://www.retrobuddys.com/download/A2kImageAudio.zip

HDMI Open Audio can be found here: https://github.com/drdpj/RGBtoHDMI-Open-Audio

The RGB-to-HDMI adapter was developed by @LinuxJedi Andrew Hutchings based on designs by “IanSB,” “c0pperdragon,” and “hoglet67.” Many thanks also to Daniel Jameson @drdpj @danielj (Bluesky) for the RGB2HDMI Audio Add-on.
